HHow should Peptides be stored?
Lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptides should be stored in a refrigerator at 2–8°C (36–46°F). For long-term storage, they should be kept in a freezer at -20°C (-4°F) or below. Once reconstituted, peptides must be stored in a refrigerator at 2–8°C (36–46°F) and should not be left at room temperature for extended periods.
How long can lyophilized peptides be stored at room temperature?
Lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptides can generally remain stable at room temperature for several days and, in many cases, up to 4 weeks. To help preserve their quality and potency, store them in a cool, dry place and avoid exposure to direct sunlight, UV light, excessive heat, and moisture.
Do I need Bacteriostatic Water?
Yes. All products are supplied in lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder form and must be reconstituted with bacteriostatic water prior to use. Using bacteriostatic water helps maintain sterility and supports the stability of the reconstituted solution during storage and research use.
How do I reconstitute?
Allow peptide vials to reach room temperature before opening to help prevent condensation from forming inside the vial. For most peptides, bacteriostatic water is the preferred diluent. Slowly inject the diluent down the side of the vial rather than directly onto the peptide powder. Gently swirl the vial until fully dissolved; do not shake, as this may damage delicate peptide structures. Ensure the solution is completely dissolved before drawing it for research use.
